[2] Bernhardy suggested that the city in question is Cyzicus (
kappa 2627). The quotation itself -- referring to events of the C1 BCE; cf. generally
lambda 688 -- was left unidentified by Adler, but latterly Favuzzi [see under
alpha 1596] 210-211 has proposed an attribution on vocabulary-based grounds to John of
Antioch.
