The neuter plural headword is transmitted as qre/pta, which is independently attested in this sense only in Quintus Smyrnaeus 11.89, where it may be a mistake for or a variant of qre/ptra. In any event, qre/ptra occurs in a more mainstream passage -- Homer, Iliad 4.478 -- from which the present entry is taken to derive.
