This entry brings together three grammatical forms of 'Thespieus', a citizen of the Boeotian polis Thespiai (

theta 278). The gloss 'a river' is thus almost certainly a mistake: one manuscript has 'a place' (
topos), but better is Bernhardy's emendation of
potamos to
polites, 'a citizen' (cf.
alpha 26 and passim).
