Nick Nicholas reports that tou/bikas or tou/mbikas, from Latin tu vincas "may you conquer", is attested in the writings of Constantine Porphyrogenitus and Theophanes the Confessor (see Lampe s.v.). That is to say, it does not mean "emperors," but is an acclamation addressed to emperors.
