This episode is the one recorded by
Herodotus 6.136 (web address 1), where (in 489 BCE) Xanthippos -- father of Perikles (
pi 1180) -- impeached his political enemy Miltiades (
mu 1067), an invalid since his siege of
Paros. (The fine was in fact 50 talents.) See also
