Photius tau31 Theodoridis. Both headword and gloss are apparently dative plural neuter nouns, although there is some uncertainty about the headword, which is transmitted as
ta/lesin, otherwise unattested in any form. Theodoridis obelizes it and expresses approval for the view of Dobree and Cobet [and Casaubon before them, citing
Demosthenes 6.30: see Adler's note] that it is a corruption of
te/lesin ('payments'; hence the translation tentatively offered here for the headword). Although there is no precise parallel for this combination of headword and gloss, forms of the current gloss
a)na/lwma ('expense') are frequently used in lexica and
scholia to gloss forms of
te/los ('payment'); e.g.
