Adler reports that in mss GVM this is not a new entry, but part of
sigma 938. In any event there is a disparity, as transmitted, between the headword (nominative singular, as
sigma 938) and the two "glosses". See further, next note.

sph/luggos "fissure of a cave", and Kuster agreed. Gaisford compared
