The headword is attested only here and, according to Adler, in the Ambrosian Lexicon (154). But *selhnh/ths looks like an ethnikon, of a city called Selene or something similar. Stephanus of Byzantium lists a 'Selenes polis' in central Italy and gives one of its ethnika as *selhni/ths.
