Hesychius sigma323,
Synagoge sigma38,
Photius sigma109 Theodoridis.
As Dindorf (cited by Theodoridis) recognized, the headword is probably to be understood as accusative plural of the Latin word
sedes, with a Greek declensional ending. Outside lexicography it is only attested in the
scholia to the
Basilica 48.4.28.2, where it appears, in the company of other Latinate terminology, to refer to places of residence. Since most of the lexica pre-date this text, and since the gloss given here is not appropriate to the context, it cannot be the source of the present entry.
