A corrupt and impenetrable entry. Also (and likewise unglossed) in
Photius rho131 Theodoridis and, as the even worse
r(iyagadei/rwn, in the
Synagoge (rho40). Porson's edition of
Photius had applied word-division to produce the phrase
r(iya/d' a)gei/rwn, but while the participle 'he collecting' (cf.
alpha 211) is intelligible, a feminine noun
r(iya/s (of which this would be the accusative singular) merely replaces one enigma with another.
Adler notes Bernhardy's suspicion that the toponym
*gadei/rwn (genitive of
gamma 7) is in there somewhere.
