*parei=te: paragi/nesqe.
The headword looks like a present optative, second person plural, of the verb
pa/reimi (from
ei)mi/ "I am"), but the gloss is either present indicative or imperative. Adler reports that ms A has
parh=te (imperfect) glossed by
parege/nesqe (aorist): cf.
pi 640.
Hesychius (Schmidt) has
pa/r[e]ite:
pare/lqete (imperative).
Photius pi363 Theodoridis has
parei=te:
paragi/nesqai (infinitive, presumably a mistake for the imperative
paragi/nesqe, which is the reading of the
Lexica Segueriana). However, Theodoridis endorses Naber's view that the authentic headword should be
pa/rite (from
ei)=mi "go"), perhaps quoted from
Euripides or
Aristophanes.
