The headword verb, here uniquely pudali/zw, is elsewhere pugali/zw (a variant noted by an Aristophanic scholiast and in the Etymologicum Magnum; also, Adler reports, in mss GF here) or more usually -- as in LSJ -- pudari/zw (to which Aemilius Portus in his 1630 edition emended the present entry).
