Knights 1264-1266 -- a modified version, according to the
scholia on this passage, of the beginning of a prosodion by
Pindar (fr. 89a Snell-Maehler). Unlike the
scholia, the Suda presents
Aristophanes' pastiche rather than the original words of
Pindar: "What is finer for those beginning or ending [a song] than to sing of deep-girdled Leto and the [feminine] driver of swift horses?"
