In the perfect passive, as e.g. at Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews 5.2.7 (5.135), the Israelites "bound to the pleasure of profit-making". For the present headword itself see e.g. Epictetus, Dissertationes ab Arriano digestae 4.4.2 ("I am bound to my books"). There are of course literal usages as well as these figurative ones, e.g. Apollodorus of Damascus 164.1 Wescher (construction of an observation-tower).
