[Meaning] of honors; or of imperial gifts; or of rights.
*primiggili/wn: timw=n: h)/toi basilikw=n dwrew=n: h)\ pronomi/wn.
Same entry in
Photius (pi1163 Theodoridis) and the
Lexica Segueriana, i.e. with the (genitive plural) headword proffered as
primiggili/wn. That the internal consonants of this (the
l and the
g) are transposed is a suspicion confirmed by
Hesychius' entry
primiligi/wn, glossed
timi/wn; and note also ps.-
Zonaras 1581.26, with
primmilogi/wn. The accusative plural
primili/gia occurs in the
Acts of the Council of Chalcedon; and in fact the Latin word transliterated must be
privilegia, which is well attested in the Greek spelling
pribile/gia, so the
m has replaced a
v. Küster proposed
pribilegi/wn as an emendation here, but the misspelling is guaranteed by the alphabetical order and by the agreement with
Photius et al. (above).
