[Poliochos] and Polyakes: proper names.
*poli/oxos kai\ *polua/khs: o)no/mata ku/ria.
From Harpokration s.v., where the second name is transmitted as Polyalkes -- surely correctly, despite being also in
Photius s.v. and again in the Suda at
pi 1938.
The C19 editor of Harpokration, L.Dindorf, suggested that these are the individuals, so named, mentioned in
Lysias 18.13 and
Isocrates,
Letters 6.1, respectively. Perhaps, therefore, the apparent conjunction of them is illusory; in Harpokration (if not here in the Suda) they would have been adjacent alphabetical entries.
