ple/kw registered by LSJ s.v., and, though the material reappears in the
Tactica appended to the Suda itself (as no.62 there), there is no equivalent in the best-known 'tactical' writers of earlier times:

Aelian and Arrian. See, at best,
peplegme/na (twice) in Asclep. 11.7, rendered by Oldfather in the Loeb edition as 'in close formation'.
