Lexicon pi603 Theodoridis. The headword is perfect active participle, neuter nominative/accusative singular, of
plada/w, a verb with figurative as well as literal applications. Theodoridis regards it as very probably extracted from Basil of
Caesarea,
Orations 14.4 (PG 31.452a) but mentions also an instance in John Chrysostom,
Commentary on Acts 35.2 (PG 60.256a).
Hesychius pi1462 has the corresponding masculine singular, with glossing accordingly.
