The headword -- perfect middle/passive participle, feminine nominative singular, of pile/w (cf. pi 1596) -- is evidently quoted from somewhere (but not from the quotation given, where the corresponding masculine form of the word appears); perhaps Gregory of Nyssa, who uses it of the heart.
