In the Septuagint (4 Maccabees 14.15) the neuter accusative plural o)rofoitou=nta or o)rofoitw=nta is used of birds, but the present gloss construes the entry as masculine accusative singular. (Latte and Theodoridis, who cite the Septuagint passage, make no comment.)
