This o)le/sk- stem of o)/llumi does not occur in Classical Greek; the first known instances are in ps.-Chrysostom ( In adorationem venerandae crucis PG 62.754: o)le/skontai), and the Sibylline Oracles (1.108: w)/leskon). The stem mostly occurs in grammars and lexica. However o)/leskon is recorded in the scholia to Homer, Odyssey 14.220, as an alternative reading of e(/leskon.
