Against Konon [sc. mentions it].[1] It is a deme of [sc. the Athenian tribe] Kekropis,[2] and was named after Melite. According to Hesiod[3] she was the daughter of Myrmex, but according to Mousaios[4] the daughter of Apollo, son of Zeus.
