[Melanthios/Melanthios] and Morsimos/Morsimus: Aristophanes speaks of them as follows: "both gorgons, devourers of dainties, gluttons for skate, harpies, fuckers of old whores, disgusting characters, arm-pits smelling like he-goats, destroyers of fish. After you have spat a big fat gob on them, Muse and goddess, frolic together with me at the feast".[1] 'Gorgons', [meaning] fearsome in their gluttony ; a 'skate' [is] a kind of fish; 'harpies' [meaning] gobblers of fish, for Harpies [are] rapacious divinities; keeping the old women away from the fish so they will not go to market; or those who lie with old women, for whores [are called] soba/des;[2] and kataxremyame/nh [meaning] having spat.
