For this verb see again under mu 1429. Its gloss in the present entry (paralleled, according to Adler, in the Ambrosian Lexicon) is mysterious. Better, obviously, is o)fqalmiw= ["I suffer from eye-disease"] in ps.-Zonaras mu1380. As regards the Suda's fula/ttw, Adler's apparatus notes the suggested emendation to tuflw/ttw ["I am blind"; cf. alpha 1529] by 'Bochart' (= the French scholar Samuel B.) on the basis of Oecumenius' comments on 2 Peter 1.9 (tuflo\s e)stin muwpa/zwn).
