The headword, which must be quoted from somewhere (there are numerous possibilities), is aorist active of katastore/nnumi, third person singular; this aorist stem occurs in Homer and Herodotus, as well as later authors. The gloss is from the related verb katastrw/nnumi or katastrwnnu/w; the earliest attestation of this stem is in Euripides.
