kappa 417. The present entry -- the first paragraph of which derives from
Photius, the second from Harpokration -- is obviously superior, though some modern experts who would like to make sense of these allegedly different procedures have been unable to do so (Harrison) and it may be that they were different facets of the same, multi-purpose one (MacDowell).
