Translation: [Zones] in the sky are five: Arctic, which is always visible; Winter; summer Tropic; Equatorial; invisible Antarctic. They are called 'parallels', because they do not incline towards one another; they are inscribed, however, about the same center. But the Zodiac is oblique, as responsible to the parallels.[1]
'Circles' is what places were called in which people were sold; they were given this name because those who are being sold stand in a circle.[2]
