This adjective, unparalleled as it stands, should probably (as Bernhardy urged) be emended to Krommyonian, i.e. pertaining to the city of Krommyon in the Megarid, central Greece. In its feminine form, as here, it is attested not only in geographical contexts but also as the epithet of the Krommyonian Sow killed by Theseus (e.g.
Plutarch,
Theseus 9).
