eta 397. Whereas the Suda here transmits
dai/dwn (
dai/s, genitive plural,
of torches), Gow and Page (vol. I, 35) adopt an emendation of Küster:
dai+/wn, so as to read
blood of foes; cf. Paton (364-365).
