It is commonly glossed, as here, by sai/rein: see e.g. zeta 9 (and cf. sigma 144), Hesychius s.v. a)ko/rhtos, newko/ros, shkoko/ros, Photius and Etymologicum Magnum s.v. za/koros, and recommended by Phrynichus 55 over sarou=n. The full gloss given here also occurs elsewhere (see the references at Photius kappa961 Theodoridis); the association of the verb with books is otherwise unknown.
