The headword is the masculine nominative singular, present middle participle, of the verb kalama/w; see also kappa 194, kappa 197. If quoted from somewhere in this form, perhaps from the Septuagint (Ecclesiasticus 33.16); but Hesychius kappa407 has an entry for kalamw/menon, said by Pollux 7.142 to occur in Cratinus (fr. 420 Kock, now 461 K.-A.).
