Note:
cf. Aelian, History of animals 12.9 (about the ki/gklos; cf. kappa 1585, and see also kappa 1580). The headword, attested only here, could have originated as a misreading of ki/gklos. Aelian says that country people's proverbs call beggars ki/gkloi.
