Sappho (fr.183 Lobel-Page) and
Alcaeus (fr.412 Lobel-Page) and is glossed as 'sinking below' (
ka/tw r(e/pwn). The present gloss is presumably a misunderstanding of earlier lexicographic comment (e.g.
Theognostus) where another word with the same
-ores suffix is glossed as a proper name: Diores.
