Isidore was the head of a monastery near Pelusium on the eastern estuary of the Nile. As an exegete, he followed the tradition of John Chrysostom. His extant works (consisting of over 2000 letters) are found in PG 78. See Catholic Encyclopedia entry at web address 1.
