The headword, otherwise unattested, is perhaps a non-standard perfect form of the rare verb e)gxra/w (hence the hypothetical translation offered for the headword).
Adler notes that ms G offers the variant reading e)gke/gxrea, similarly obscure (cf. also the variant e)gkenxre/a in ms A exhibiting late or epichoric orthography).
