The Eurotas (Barrington Atlas map 58 grid C3) is the modern Evrotas.
"Lakonike" (an adjective here implying the noun "ge", land; cf.
alpha 733,
alpha 4183,
gamma 486,
delta 1290,
epsilon 3348, etc.) is the regular name in classical sources for the territory of
Sparta, usually called Laconia or Lakonia in modern works.
