Hesychius epsilon6923, which provides another gloss in addition. The headword is a feminine abstract noun in the nominative singular. If it is quoted from somewhere, extant possibilities include Gregory of Nyssa (
Funeral Oration for Bishop Meletius 9.452) and Theodoret (
Epistle 33.10). In general the headword is only attested in late Greek (earliest: a papyrus of
Philodemus = Ariston fr. 13.2 Wehrli), and is particularly popular among Christian authors, especially Gregory and Theodoret.
