Büttner-Wobst notes (533) that Casaubon attributed this fragment to Polybius; Schweighäuser, however, maintained doubts about the attribution (ibid.). Büttner-Wobst, following Dindorf, prints (ibid.) a)f' w(=n in place of the Suda's e)f' w(=n, but this renders little difference in the translation.
