Present participle, masculine nominative singular, of the rare and late verb e)pikagxa/zw. Hesychius s.v. glosses it with e)pigelw=n. It is otherwise attested only in a passage of Gregory of Nyssa's Life of Gregory the Wonderworker [gamma 452] (PG 46.940.59), from where it has perhaps been quoted.
