[1] The headword, here (and always elsewhere) in the accusative, is regularly governed by the verbs ferei/n or e)pife/rein; but e)pi/hra itself is a combination of h)=ra (again always in the accusative; for an instance see under eta 477) and the preposition e)pi/.
