[1] The headword and this supplementary lemma are both third person plural, present indicative active, of e)pafi/hmi. Aside from the presence and absence of the optional final nu, the only difference between the two forms is accent: proparoxytone in the former and properispomenon in the latter. The latter is by far the most common form, though the former does occur in a handful of late texts apart from this one. The lexicographer is perhaps trying to assert the equivalence of the two forms, though more probably (to judge from other entries of the same kind) he thinks that only the second means 'they send'.
