Hesychius (presumably epsilon4260) and a scholium to Apollonius Rhodius,
Argonautica 1.800. Both use a word similar to
oi)ki/a ('dwelling') to gloss the headword (or a related word), but otherwise these sources have more in common with the Suda's second entry under this headword,
epsilon 1993.

Greek Anthology 6.221.7-8 (
Leonidas of
Tarentum 53 Gow-Page; cf. Gow and Page, p. 124). The Suda and the Palatine manuscript of the
Anthology both have
e)paulo/sunos ('encampment-bound') whereas other mss have
a)paulo/sunos ('away from the encampment'), which make better sense. Neither adjective occurs elsewhere. Maas suggested emending to
e)p' a)/llo si/nos ('toward some other mischief'). The Suda and the Palatine ms also have
bro/twn ('mortals') where other mss have
bo/twn ('livestock'). Surely the latter is correct.
