['Proclamation'] and [sc. also attested is the related aorist infinitive e)paggei=lai] 'to proclaim'. While it has other meanings too, it is used in a special sense of those accusing someone of being unfit to address the [sc. Athenian] people and to have a public career, and it is a kind of summons. But 'to proclaim' is also what they say to mean to order or to request, as Antiphon [illustrates], and also Demosthenes in the Mismanaged Embassy [speech].[1]
