Ambrosian Lexicon. The headword could conceivably be an epic subjunctive of
e)/ceimi "go out", but is more probably present indicative of
e)ci/hmi. Given the glossing, it is used here in the intransitive sense, noted in LSJ, routinely referring to rivers and lakes; perhaps quoted from
Thucydides 4.103.1.
