Notes:
The headword occurs in
Demosthenes 57.18, where the speaker uses it of the allegations made against his father. This glossing on it is a shorter version of Harpokration s.v. (epsilon66 Keaney), which cites the explanation in Didymos (p.315 Schmidt) but inclines toward the (anonymous) one given first, there and again here. Modern scholarship unanimously supports Didymos.
