The gloss here is idiosyncratic. The headword verb e)kkake/w (here in the aorist active, first person singular) normally means 'lose heart' (as in 2 Corinthians 4:1, according to some manuscripts, and as at epsilon 340 and pi 1171).
Adler cites the unedited Ambrosian Lexicon (1260) as a parallel, but otherwise this particular form is unattested elsewhere apart from the derivative entry in ps.-Zonaras 769.
