[Meaning a] passage-out.
*di/ecin: diece/leusin.
Same entry in
Photius (and ps.-
Zonaras). The headword as transmitted is the accusative singular of a feminine noun
di/ecis, but LSJ recognises no such noun, and Theodoridis in his
Photius edition obelizes it, proposing that one should read instead
di/icin. For this see a later entry in
Photius, delta580, where nominative
di/icis is glossed with
diece/leusis.
The accusative
di/icin occurs in several ancient commentators on philosophy (e.g.
Simplicius and
Proclus).
