Both headword and gloss are aorist subjunctive forms, so other translations are possible depending on the use of the subjunctive in the passage from which the headword was excerpted (but the likeliest [DW] is Psalm 2.3 LXX, 'Let us break their bonds asunder'; Athanasius' gloss there is the same as the present one).
