As Dunbar [below] 730 notes, the middle voice of this verb in this sense is 'very rare' (also in Herodotus 9.116-1-2). For the active voice (delta 500) see the examples in LSJ s.v. diaba/llw, VI -- and add to them another Aristophanic one, Thesmophoriazusae 1214 (wrongly listed by LSJ as middle).
