*dusbra/kanos: duskatano/htos: bra/kana ga\r a)/gria la/xana du/spluta.
Different readings are attested for the headword in
Photius (
dusba/rkanos, obelized by Theodoridis) and the
Etymologicum Magnum (
dusba/rnakos), probably by corruption in the manuscript transmission.
Nonetheless it seems that the gloss stems from
Photius,
Lexicon delta799. (The Suda compiler either had an uncorrupted manuscript or was able to identify the error.)
Hesychius delta2539 has a similar (not identical) gloss; and see further, next note.
[1] In
Hesychius this synonym is recorded in the final part of the gloss and related to the comic poet
Cratinus (fr. 404 Kock, now 442 K.-A.).
[2] Neuter plural; cf.
beta 517,
Hesychius beta1041, and
Photius beta260.
